Expectations? Different For This Kind of Guy

To start off, I'd like to tell you guys how I've lived my whole life. Me, I am a last child, and I am FAR behind my siblings, I believe that it is what have created me. My youngest older brother/sister twin is 8 years above my age, for big time, I am the ultimate baby! As I grow up, I know that I am treated differently, I play with people around my sibling's age, and I love it! Imagine as you were still 5, but your brother/sister is driving you to school! In conclusion, I've had MANY things I had a head start with that people in my age might not know. Although sometimes, it can be bad things, secrets between me and my 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

6 GRADE REFLECTION
Grade Six... Hmmm, what word?
The thing I know for sure is that 'I, had the times of my life, and I've never felt these ways before, I swear!' (Black Eyed Peas)

1. What piece of work and learning are you most proud? Explain.
In my opinion, I did not do my best in every single trimesters, but everything I've done in 6 grade is a real big step up, I am still very proud of myself! To narrow it down, I'll tell you a project from one subject; it is Humanities. The project was my diary of an Egyptian sculptor. I love the whole unit, I enjoyed learning about ancient Egypt, the fun projects just made it even better! My diary of Nebamun, famous Egyptian sculptor. It was not perfect, I did not meet the expectations of important plots but, it was a really big accomplishment for me. It was a really hard and tiring project, I had to make 3 diary entries, having AT LEAST 800 words each. I tried my best to create the best story line as possible.
Check it out! Whole Diary of Nebamun

2. What were your greatest challenges? Explain.
One thing I found challenging this year was math. For me, it's not about how difficult it is, sometimes the different ways of doing similar things is confusing. I know exactly how to do lots of formulas if someone gives me a heads up. I mix things up, and as I am logic but not THAT organized, I get messed up. Similar steps is very stressful, but Mrs.Smith gives us small tips to remember them. For example; PEMDAS, do not know what it means? Watch my iMovie here Order Of Operations. Another is for multiplying fractions, simplifying up and down is yes (nodding), side to another means no/wrong.

3. Reflecting on your growth this year, what did you learn about yourself as a learner?
For this kind of question, my Learning Profile is 99.99% correct! I'll put out two important facts about me from a much more bigger list from the test. I learn in different ways in different situations, but I always work best in a step by step mode. I need to feel comfortable of doing what I may have never done. My actions tend to be planned before I start it, sometimes I think much more complicated than what's needed. Second, I learn best by listening to auditory details, but the problem is, I get distracted by most movements. In class, I can be very serious or very distracted, so in my opinion, I need both visual and audio explaining to learn. To know more, read my interesting portfolio Learning Profile

 4. To evaluate your work habits, choose 1 of the following from each category ( and provide explanations):

a) Behavior

Could be improved
Satisfactory
Perfect - the model student

Explanation: I think I have done quite a good job respecting and being friendly to people involving the whole school. What I can improve is to calm my self down before getting angry very easily, especially when someone annoys me or I'm in a bad mood.

b) Participation

None
Satisfactory
Actively participate in class

Explanation: I think I'm active in every class, I communicate between my classmates and teachers. Although sometimes I can get too serious when it's not needed to, but I do not think I'm a bossy person when participating in groups.

c) Organization

Needs serious help
Satisfactory
I'm super organized

Explanation: When I am doing something, I am very much organized. I try my best to get things done, but I can do a lot better by doing less the amount of unimportant stuff. The bad ending comes when I'm done, I forget about them without organizing. I regret not taking care of my finished important notes for studying, but then I can't find it later on!

d) Effort

Needs serious help
Satisfactory
I always go above and beyond what is required.

Explanation: I will always try do better than anyone, I like to make my self proud and I like to work on projects very much. What I need improvement on is that school is not only about me, I need to consider more of the benefits for others, and keep it stabil with mine.

5. Based upon your reflections, write two personal learning goals for Grade 7 next year.

Goal 1 - In Grade 7, I will plan to check my work! Because I do everything bits by bits, my laziness overtake my passion to look over my finished work. I keep thinking that I've look over them, but not every time, and I know that! Moreover, there will always be times when I rush through things, maybe because I'm distracted by something else! My instincts of danger/worry don't even matter at all when I get my eyes to interesting visuals.

Goal 2 - In Grade 7, I plan to be more organized and keep my locker, documents, and books safe and always in the correct place so that when I need it, it's easy to get. I think being organized is a very important thing in life, because you never know what's coming! Either it's important or not, you'll always regret it.

7. Finally, cast your minds back to the first few months of middle school (when you arrived in Grade 6 ) what "Words of Wisdom" or "Advice" could you pass on to the Class of 2018?

- Don't be too stressful about things, teachers have planned what is possible or impossible.
Do projects in the correct pace, some teachers allows you to pick partners, take the correct person.

- Middle School is nothing of a place to be bored! You'll eventually LOVE everything in the end.

- Take your courage into a new level, do things that may be done, you know what you'll like
