My hometown is definitely Jakarta, it is where I was born, my whole family, and all four of my grandparents. I lived in that crowded, beautiful city until I was 9 years old, then I moved here, Kuala Lumpur. Now let's get to the point should we? In humanities class, we made presentations on cities that we call as our hometown, well as I told you before I chose Jakarta, Indonesia.
I think the best thing I've done in my presentation was how I interact with my classmates to present, it's because as I saw their eyes looking at me they seemed to be very focused on my presentation. Also, my voice and the way I send the information using eye contact and hand gestures makes it more interesting. About my Power-point slide, I think it is great but one piece I need to make better might be adding pictures of maps / place of where exactly it is and the surroundings.
I learned that my preparation of practicing is way to little looking at some of my friends presenting freely without looking at the projector. So it's the same meaning that I wasn't fully ready, and because I wasn't ready, I had to look at the screen. Sometimes I force myself not to look at the screen, which was actually worse. It will make nervous feelings, it made pauses a lot more frequent. So next time if I need more time practicing, I would want to make a notecard to keep me going.
From all I thought, my performance wasn't that great but something that makes it a lot less boring is my awesome facts that many people didn't know. Jakarta is the capital and biggest city in Indonesia, even more it was very popular for trading in the old time. So moreover from that, I think Jakarta the big, famous, cultural city itself help most of my work other than some of my friends which took little cities that didn't have much popularity nor money.
Wondering how my presentation looked like? Here is the link, check it OOUUUTTT!
